Buick makes the 2069 Regal sedan in the Avenir style, the fourth Buick model, which will have the name of the Enclave, LaCrosse and GL8 subcategories in China.
Buick says the Avenir line is selling faster than other levels of equipment in both locations like Enclave and LaCrosse, and that half of all Regal Sportback buyers opted for the highest level of equipment, reflecting buyers' demand for premium medium-sized cars. "The sale of Avenir has exceeded our expectations," said Phil Brook, vice president of Buick and GMC Marketing. "Buick's customers appreciate the exclusive design, premium features and hands-on experience offered by Avenir, and we are excited to extend this successful formula to Regal."
So what is Regal Avenir? Buick will debut with the first cloud-based information system that delivers integrated applications, allowing owners to set their own profiles and user preferences for use in voice navigation and voice recognition features, and transfer that profile to other compatible vehicles. The Avenir will be standard-fitted with driver safety and assistance technologies such as rear parking assistance, rear cross-reference, alarms on the side-invisible zone alert, automatic alignment LEDs, tweaks and automatic dimming mirrors on the side driver. Advanced adaptive cruise control and other active safety technologies are also available.
Inside is the "Whisper Beige" theme with ebony accents, front seats with diamond-stitched front seats, embroidered head restraints in the front row, and Avenir Script Thresholds. Also an ebony theme is available. The exterior gets a more dramatic appearance, with the Avenir 3-D mesh top grille, front door scripts and Pearl Nickel's 19-inch wheels.
Under the hood is the standard 2.0-liter, 2.0-liter 2.0-liter Regal engine, which has a torque of 260 kilometers and is coupled with a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Avenir was the name of the four-cylinder Buick concept presented as a surprise in Detroit in 2015. Next year, the company announced it will use the title as the top level trim since 2018 Buicks.
The price for Buick Regal Avenir 2019 will be announced when it comes to retailers.
