When it's warming out, your air conditioning will become your best friend. This is most true in your car, where temperatures can sky the rocket at 170 degrees under direct sunlight. Most people, however, have the feeling today that the more you operate the air conditioning, the more gas that your car will block. Now that gas prices are higher than McDonald's food costs, people are starting to take action and do what they can to help with their fuel-saving cars. The assumption that the air conditioning is burning more gas is somewhat untrue. If you let the air conditioner turn off, you almost do not change the amount of combustion gas. With the advent of modern, more economical cars this myth is canceled!
The air-conditioning unit draws its energy from a gas engine, but with today's cars, this gas usage is only negligible. The air conditioner can reduce your vehicle's fuel consumption by up to 20% in some vehicles, but it depends on the type. Driving with air conditioning is more economical than ride down the windows. Driving with windows down creates a pull, which means your engine must work better to keep your car at the current speed; it burns more gas than if you were just running air conditioning.
In the long run, the use of air conditioning is much better than any other way to cool down in the car if you are not running. When traveling in traffic, you are not too fast, so the car's stroke is minimal. In these cases, you burn more fuel that triggers air conditioning than when you have windows down. That makes sense. When you are on the highway, you can use the air conditioning unit or the "down" method to cool down because there is no difference in gas usage at these speeds.
Here are some tips about you and the warmth in the car. Before you get to the hot car, go to the windows and let them blow out. There is nothing worse than getting into a hot car, sitting on the lava hot seat, touching the super hot steering wheel and breathing in the super cool hot air. Your car needs some time to cool itself and for you. Once you think it's cool enough to really sit on the car, turn on the car and run the air conditioner on the recirculation. This will help you cool your car much faster and you will quickly get on the road without sacrificing expensive skin.
So now that you know that the air conditioner can be your friend in terms of fuel consumption, you may not be able to shut it down or ignore it because of the shutters down and choking. The air conditioner in the car burns much less gas than your window, so let the air conditioning get a chance and cool down.
